Kaymer can fire in Germany

The European Tour heads to Golfclub Munchen Eichenried this week for the BMW International and home favourite Martin Kaymer could be the man to watch.

However, with several other players possessing course form and defending champion and 39/4 favourite Matt Wallace, who took the honours last year at Golf Club Gut Laerchenof, also in attendance, there is plenty of players to look out for.

Kaymer to win @ 16/1

A winner at this venue in 2008, Kaymer knows this course well and heads to the event in his homeland in decent form, backing up his top-10 at the British Masters by finishing third at Memorial.

Only a cold putter hindered the 34-year-old as he finished 35th last week at the US Open and the German will be hoping for home inspiration in front of his compatriots, after finishing second last year.

It’s no secret he has not won a tournament since the 2014 US Open but has some decent momentum behind him and should not be overlooked.

Noren to win @ 27/1

Alex Noren could be an excellent each-way bet as he looks to find some magic after an average start to the season on the PGA Tour.

This week marks his first appearance in Europe and he is another one with fond memories of Golfclub Munchen Eichenried, having finished fourth at the layout in 2013.

The 36-year-old usually comes alive in the summer months and has a real killer instinct when it comes to the summer months.

While his form suggests he might not be up to much, if he gets a sniff, he is a man who knows how to get the job done having won seven of his last 70 European Tour events.

Luiten to win @ 22/1

The other home hope, well loosely as he is from Austria but other options are thin on the ground, could be Matthias Schwab (70/1) whose accuracy could see him go well in Eichenried but Joost Luiten is a more experienced player and has a good record here.

Luiten has four top-10s to his name this year and has finished 14th, 10th and 3rd when the tournament has been played at this week’s venue.

Due a win this season after 16 months without scoring, the 33-year-old’s course record bodes well for this week.
