Stan Wawrinka can overcome Grigor Dimitrov in the French Open today and I’ve also taken a look at tomorrow’s Champions League final.
Wawrinka 3-1 @ 51/20
Former champion Wawrinka produced arguably his best performance since returning from injury last year to beat Cristian Garin 6-1 6-4 6-0 in the previous round and can back that up with a win over Dimitrov.
The Swiss star has won the last two meetings between the two players and both of those successes came in Grand Slam events – with Wawrinka winning 3-1 at last year’s Wimbledon and then 3-0 at the 2018 US Open.
Dimitrov has already played two five-set matches in Paris and made a statement with a win over 11th seed Marin Cilic in his last match. The Bulgarian can take a set today but that should be as good as it gets and a 3-1 win for Wawrinka appeals, with the 5/8 on the 34-year-old with a -1.5 sets handicap is an option if you want to play it a little safer.
Son Heung-min anytime goalscorer @ 51/20
I’m expecting this all-Premier League final to be closer than the odds suggest though – and we may well see goals at both ends.
Son Heung-min should revert back to a supporting role in attack if, as expected, Harry Kane is deemed fit to start for Tottenham and the South Korean stands out in the anytime goalscorer market.
Son has a solid scoring record this season and tends to come up with a goal when it really counts, having found the back of the net in both legs of the quarter-final win over Manchester City.
The Spurs forward has the ability to score both scrappy goals and stunners, and should a chance fall his way on Saturday night in Madrid he can take it.
