Saracens eyeing Leinster revenge

Saracens will be eyeing revenge when they take on Leinster in the final on Saturday having been knocked out of the European Champions Cup last season by the Irish province.

Arguably the two best teams in the competition this season have avoided all banana skins to make it through to this weekend’s showpiece event at Newcastle’s St James’ Park.

Saracens to win @ 5/6

Leinster managed to cope with the attacking flair of Toulouse in their semi-final, while Sarries powered past Munster with a 32-16 victory over the Red Army.

There will be some titanic battles in the forwards, with both teams boasting big internationals in the form of Billy and Mako Vunipola, Tadhg Furlong and Sean O’Brien.

While in the backs, the tussle between Owen Farrell and Jonathan Sexton in the number 10 jerseys will be something to behold.

It was Farrell who came out on top in the battle of the two British & Irish Lions stars in the Six Nations and the Saracens fly-half might have the edge once again, against Sexton who has struggled to rekindle his form from 2018.

Saracens to win by 1-10 points @ 21/10

This might not be the prettiest final, as Saracens have a way of grinding down teams, although they do have running threats in the backs with Liam Williams, Sean Maitland and Alex Goode.

Leinster will have to produce their performance of the season to overcome Sarries but the Premiership side just have a knack of winning these big games and might just edge this one on Saturday.
