Leicester City appear to have rediscovered their mojo following the appointment of Brendan Rodgers and will fancy their chances of winning at home to Newcastle United on Friday evening.
However, four of the last five meetings of these two sides have been won by the visitors, including a 2-0 victory for the Foxes at St James’ Park in late September – with Jamie Vardy and Harry Maguire on the scoresheet.
Former England man Vardy has certainly benefitted from the change in manager at the King Power Stadium, scoring seven goals in his last six games, including two last time out in a 4-1 win at Huddersfield Town.
For a slightly greater return, you might want to consider Vardy to score either first or last at 27/20, with the striker clearly bang in form.
Should City take all three points on Friday evening, they may well have to score more than once in the game, with Leicester having kept just one clean sheet in their last 13 in all competitions.
With that stat in mind, then a home win and both teams to score appears to be a decent option and could offer a better return than the 20/23 on offer for both teams to score in the game.
However, weighted against that is the fact that the Magpies have not found the net in either of their last two games, which saw them lose 2-0 at Arsenal and 1-0 at home to Crystal Palace.
Newcastle midfielder Isaac Hayden has been cautioned in three of his last five games, having not previously been shown a card since being sent off in the goalless draw at Cardiff City in mid-August.
With Rodgers having pepped up Leicester’s midfield by going with a number of more youthful options since taking over, Hayden may well be tested to the full and another name-taking could well happen on Friday.
