Home form favours the Magpies

Saturday has just three Premier League games on the schedule, with the meeting of Newcastle United and Crystal Palace at St James’ Park perhaps the pick of the bunch.

Both teams have surely done enough to escape the threat of relegation and one more win for either side would make almost certain of their survival.

Newcastle to win @31/20

The Magpies have won just one of their last four in the Premier League, with Palace having the same recent record – with their only success coming against already relegated Huddersfield Town.

That suggests the hosts should have the edge, but the decisive factor is that Newcastle have won their last five home league games, which ensures that they have to be seen as the favourites to take the honours.

The clash between Bournemouth and Burnley on the South Coast holds a little more importance than the action on Tyneside, with the visitors currently five points clear of the drop zone.

Draw with goals @16/5

The Clarets will travel boosted by the fact that the Cherries have just one win in their last eight league games, while Burnley ended a run of four straight losses with a 2-0 win at home to Wolves last time out.

The Lancastrians also pounded Bournemouth 4-0 when the two side met at Turf Moor earlier this season, so the omens seem to be pointing to an away win.

However, Burnley are far from predictable, so going with the draw may be a better option than putting total faith in Sean Dyche’s side.

The final game of the day sees Huddersfield playing for pride at home to Leicester City, who have won three in a row for new boss Brendan Rodgers.

Jamie Vardy to score at any time @ 13/10

The Terriers, meanwhile, have not beaten anyone other than Wolves since early November and had their inevitable relegation confirmed last weekend.

Their task is made even harder by Foxes striker Jamie Vardy having rediscovered his mojo in scoring five goals in his last five games, with the former England frontman sure to be in bullish mood as he prepares to face a deflated Town backline.
