Man City to keep quadruple dream alive

We’re down to the last eight in the FA Cup but who does Ray Parlour think will make the Semi Finals? Here are his big match predictions:

Watford vs. Crystal Palace

Usually you’d want home advantage in the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup but Roy Hodgson and Crystal Palace might be quite happy to be away for this one. Their form on the road has been very good this season while at home they got beaten by Brighton last time out.

This won’t be an easy game though because Watford have been very hard to beat at Vicarage Road and they’ve got plenty of talent in their side. I think it’ll be close and can see this one going to extra time with Watford eventually winning it.

Full time Draw @ 9/4
Watford to win in Extra Time @ 11/1

Swansea City vs. Manchester City

With every week that goes by, the prospect of a Man City quadruple become that little bit more possible. They’ve got so much quality they could change pretty much their whole team for this one after the Schalke game, and still have too much for Swansea.

The Championship side are not in great form at the moment and I really can’t see them troubling Pep’s men on Saturday. Man City are my pick to win the competition and keep that quadruple dream alive.

Manchester City to win by 2 or more goals @ 5/14
Manchester City to win the FA Cup @ 5/6

Wolves vs. Manchester United

This is the pick of the four ties for me. Wolves have been really impressive against the ‘Big Six’ this season and they’ve already beaten Chelsea and Liverpool at Molineux. And but for that late Eden Hazard goal last weekend they’d have completed the double over Chelsea.

Man United were out of sorts against Arsenal and they’ll need to be back on top of their game to win this one. I think there will be goals and I think there won’t be much in it. But I’ll go with Solskjaer’s team to go through.

Manchester United to win 2-1 @ 13/2

Millwall vs. Brighton

Most people will see this as the best upset chance of the last eight and that’s probably right. Millwall got a great result in midweek and they’ve already knocked out Everton at the New Den in this season’s competition.

But Brighton got a great result at Crystal Palace last time out and after their win against Huddersfield as well, they’re now looking good for Premier League survival. I think they’ll go to Millwall, keep a clean sheet with Dunk and Duffy at the back and have a bit too much qualify up front.

Brighton to win 2-0 @ 27/4
