Manchester City host Chelsea in the Premier League this afternoon and the champions can keep the pressure on leaders Liverpool by taking all three points.
Chelsea became the first side to beat City in the league in the reverse fixture in December but with home advantage Pep Guardiola’s men can take their revenge.
City have been in excellent form at home with six successive victories and they have scored 29 goals during that run.
The Etihad Stadium club have lost just once at home this term and when they have come up against key rivals they’ve managed to win convincingly, having beaten both Arsenal and Manchester United 3-1 and Liverpool 2-1.
Chelsea have lost their last three on their travels and went down 4-0 at Bournemouth in their most recent away match.
City’s margin of victory may not be quite as convincing, but they can still win with some room to spare and beat a one-goal handicap as they look to move back to the top of the table.
The LA Lakers have LeBron James available again and can boost their playoff hopes with a win at Philadelphia 76ers this evening.
The Sixers overcame the Lakers in LA last month but that was when James was sidelined – and the visitors are obviously a different animal altogether when he is on court.
Philly have been in mixed form at home with three defeats in their last seven, while the Lakers secured a morale boosting win in Boston last time out and can take the momentum from that success into this match-up at the Wells Fargo Center.
