The Sporting Weekend – Top 5 Reactions

It doesn’t get much bigger and better for sport than the weekend we’ve just had, with massive events across the globe.

We’ve been trawling the social media pages to find the best reactions to the action, including another Super Bowl win for the New England Patriots.

1) Brady’s excited about seeing Mickey!

The ‘Greatest Show on Earth’ is how the Super Bowl is described and although it wasn’t a memorable match, there was more joy for the most successful NFL team of all time.

New England Patriots, who are 7/1 to win 2020 Super Bowl, battled to a 13-3 win over the Los Angeles Rams, with quarterback Tom Brady collecting his sixth SuperBowl ring.

He may be 41, but some things are just too exciting – even as a veteran!

2) England make a statement

The Six Nations got off to a spectacular start, with England causing a surprise on the opening weekend – with a 20-32 win in Ireland.

The defending champions were strong favourites to lift the title, especially after beating New Zealand in the autumn, but Eddie Jones’ men put in an inspirational display to take a bonus-point victory.

Henry Slade crossed twice for England, who are 20/27 to win the Six Nations, in what was a memorable day for the Exeter star.

3) Cat steals the show at Goodison

The pressure continues to mount on Marco Silva, with Everton falling to another defeat at the weekend – going down 3-1 at home to Wolves.

The Toffees, who are 23/20 to finish in bottom half, were soundly beaten on home soil, and now face the unenviable task of taking on Manchester City on Wednesday.

Maybe the best chance of a home win would be the intervention of a visitor that appeared on Saturday!

4) Windies on the way back

As bad as England’s cricketers have been in the first two Tests, West Indies have been impressive in clinching the series and the signs look good for the future.

The hosts are 7/5 to win the third Test but had only won one of their last five Test Series going into this three-match contest, but look to have found some stars of the future.

It’s not only the West Indies fans that are delighted to see them on the way back….

5) More Belgian PL success

As the TV bank advert says, many of our football heroes are from Belgium!

Wolves star Leander Dendoncker became the 31st Belgian player to score in the Premier League – can you name the top 10 in terms of goals?
