7 of the best weekend Premier League reactions

It was another action packed weekend of Premier League action, with no fewer than 33 goals scored in the ten matches and two seven-goal thrillers!

Here’s how the world of social media reacted to the action……

1)            Nuno goes crazy after Wolves winner

Nuno Espirito Santo got sent to the stands after his side scored a late-gasp winner against Leicester. I don’t think he cared too much!

2)            Elderly Liverpool fan put through thriller

A 104-year-old Liverpool fan, Bernard Sheridan, was invited by Jurgen Klopp to watch Liverpool play Crystal Palace at Anfield.

Bernard will have gone through a range of emotions it’s fair to say, let’s hope he stayed calm!

3)            New dad Pogba on fire

Paul Pogba has turned into a different player since Jose Mourinho’s exit….coincidence???

Another goal for the Frenchman on Saturday, after recently becoming a dad for the first time!

4)            Cardiff’s Bennett takes a blow to the head

It was a bad day at the office for Cardiff on Saturday, losing 3-0 at Newcastle and slipping into the bottom three.

Spare a thought as well for full-back Joe Bennett, who has probably still got a headache today!

5)            Dropped but still happy

Shkodran Mustafi was dropped to the bench for Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea, as the Gunners came out on top over their London rivals.

The German international was as happy as anyone, even though he watching from the bench.

6)            Ooops, it’s not him!

It was a comfortable win for Man City at Huddersfield, but for once all eyes were not on City’s attacking play.

Sky Sports thought they spotted one of the favourites for the Huddersfield job, Jan Siewert, in the stands and tried to get an interview during the game. Turns out it wasn’t him and nothing more than a Huddersfield fan that looked (a little bit) like him!

7)            Llorente scores…at the wrong end!

With no Kane and Son, Spurs had to look to Fernando Llorente to supply the goals at Fulham and it took him just 17 minutes.

Unfortunately the Spaniard fired the ball into his own goal to give the Cottagers the lead….Tottenham had the last laugh with a stoppage-time winner – not before someone had had their own laugh via Wikipedia!
