There may still be some defensive frailties in the Arsenal squad but Unai Emery’s appointment has had the desired effect at the Emirates and the Gunners can extend their winning run to 10 matches by beating Leicester City on Monday.
Arsenal were in sublime form in their last match before the international break as they demolished Fulham 5-1 at Craven Cottage.
Arsenal to win and both teams to score @ 7/5
It may not be so easy against the inconsistent Foxes but Emery’s side are on such a roll that they can win again, although they may not keep a clean sheet – they have managed just three shut-outs in their first 11 games in all competitions this season.
The Gunners, 6/4 to finish in the top four this season, edged to a 4-3 victory in the corresponding fixture last term and it may well be close again on Monday with Emery’s side 53/20 to win the fixture by a one-goal margin.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have been in scintillating form and both have four Premier League goals to their name but it may be best to look elsewhere in the first goalscorer market with Granit Xhaka excellent value at 20/1.
Arsenal to win from behind @ 11/2
Leicester have scored in all eight of their top-flight fixtures so far this season but have been the epitome of inconsistency, winning four and losing four.
Claude Puel’s side have had a relatively easy set of fixtures in the first two months of the campaign and should really have more points on the board as they have lost winnable matches against Bournemouth and Everton.
James Maddison and Jamie Vardy have already scored three Premier League goals this season but the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Demarai Gray need to score more regularly if Leicester are to enjoy a successful campaign.
