France can punish Germany and a Sixers statement

The latest round of Nations League fixtures finish this evening and they’ve arguably saved the best until last as world champions France come up against Germany.

France -1 @ 41/20

The Nations League hasn’t been the easiest tournament to call, with some of the games looking really competitive and others having more of a friendly feel. I did manage two correct calls yesterday though and hopefully France can help me finish on a high later.

Germany slumped to a demoralising 3-0 loss in the Netherlands last time out and a trip to flying France isn’t what they need a few days later. Les Bleus are on a 14-game unbeaten streak and can cement their place at the top of League A1 by beating Germany with room to spare this evening.

Joachim Low’s men looked weak in defence against the Dutch and France should find plenty of areas to exploit, so I’m backing them to beat a one-goal handicap later.

Philadelphia 76ers + 4.5 spread @ 25/27

The Sixers head to Boston Celtics in the first NBA game of the new season in what could be a close encounter.

Boston beat Philly 4-1 in the playoffs last season but most of the games were fairly close. The visitors will be looking to start with a bang and although they may find the Celtics too good at TD Garden they can at least keep it tight and with a +4.5 handicap in the spread look worth backing in this match-up.
