Warriors to slay Wolves

Wigan Warriors have a habit of showing up for the big occasion and they will be hoping to continue that reputation when they take on Warrington Wolves in the Super League Grand Final on Saturday.

Wigan to win @ 10/21

The Warriors find themselves in a very similar situation to the Leeds Rhinos side of 2015, with a number of key figures set to move on to pastures new.

That motivation of wanting to send out team-mates and staff on a high can be a big factor and with head coach Shaun Wane, star full-back Sam Tomkins and key centre John Bateman all leaving, Wigan have much to play for.

Warrington have their own motivation as not so much the underdogs, but the ‘underwolves’.

The Wire have been written off through much of the campaign and not many gave them a chance of overturning St Helens at Langtree Park in the semi-finals.

However, they did and Tom Lineham will once again be a real threat on the wing after bagging a crucial brace against the Saints.

Wigan with -4.5 point handicap @ 4/5

The Warriors and Wolves last met at the DW Stadium back in September and it was Wigan who secured a 26-6 victory.

Wigan have improved since that game and became the first side to win all their Super 8 games since the concept was introduced.

With all that winning momentum and the emotion surrounding the match at Old Trafford, it’s hard not to see Wane, Tomkins and Bateman lifting the trophy in Manchester.
