Monaco are in woeful form in Ligue 1 and they could be set for another defeat when they head to a resurgent Saint Etienne this evening.
Saint Etienne to win @ 11/10
Monaco’s policy of regularly selling their star men over the summer seems to have caught up with them this season and they travel to the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard on the back of a seven game winless run.
Les Verts were ambitious in their own spending in the transfer window and initially all their new faces struggled to gel. It now seems as if they have managed to click as they have won two successive games going into tonight’s contest and I expect them to take all three points.
Goals haven’t necessarily been the problem for Monaco – as they’ve only failed to score in two games during their winless streak – and Saint Etienne to win with both teams to score looks a good option at 3/1 if you’re feeling a little braver.
Bristol City to win @ 6/4
In the Championship, Bristol City entertain Aston Villa and a home win could be on the cards in this match-up.
The Robins have lost their last two games but both of those have been on the road and at home they have managed two consecutive wins, including a success over promotion hopefuls Sheffield United.
Villa lost at Sheffield Wednesday last time out and are winless in four on their travels, and the form book points to a home win in this fixture.
