McHale can progress in Quebec

After the international break there is a little lull until the weekend but I’ve picked out a bet from the WTA event in Quebec and there’s also some Copa del Rey action to keep us busy on Wednesday.

Christina McHale to beat Pauline Parmentier @ 5/6

France’s Parmentier managed to end a four-match losing run by overcoming Veronika Kudermetova in her opener in Quebec but could come unstuck against McHale this afternoon.

The American ended a three-match winless streak herself in her last outing in Canada, and last month claimed an impressive win over compatriot Alison Riske in Montreal.

The 26-year-old may not have enjoyed a particularly successful campaign so far but she is a solid player on hard-courts with four wins in her last eight matches and should be able to improve on that record with a win over Parmentier today.

Zaragoza to beat Deportivo La Coruna @ 6/4

Zaragoza and Depor have both enjoyed unbeaten starts to the season in the Segunda Division and this cup clash could be a close contest this evening.

Depor have managed four points on their travels so far but are yet to face anyone with the same quality as their hosts, and home advantage could just swing this match-up in Zaragoza’s favour so at odds against they look worth the risk in this Copa del Rey fixture.
