History on United’s side in PL opener

It is opening night in the Premier League and despite their selection issues, Manchester United can get the job done against Leicester.

Manchester United to win and both to score @ 23/10

The Red Devils are without the majority of their World Cup stars, with Marcus Rashford cutting his holidays short to be ready for tonight.

It means it could be a fresh-faced United who take on the Foxes who themselves are likely to be without Jamie Vardy and Harry Maguire but could hand debuts to the likes of Jonny Evans and Ricardo Pereira.

Leicester played on the opening Friday 12 months ago, going down 4-3 in a cracker at Arsenal.

Although it is unlikely to be that lively, a decent game looks likely as both sides aim to find their way back into the pace of the Premier League.

United though have won their opening game in the Premier League era a record 17 times and the Old Trafford crowd could cheer them home.

Toulouse to win @ 6/1

My second bet is a bit of a surprise but I really do think Toulouse can win at Marseille in the curtain raiser for Ligue 1.

Les Phoceens have had a rotten pre-season, most recently losing 5-2 at Bournemouth and Rudi Garcia is another without some of his key players.

Friday’s visitors to the Stade Velodrome have added nicely and boss Alain Casanova will implore his players to attack their opposition.

With Marseille missing some key names, especially in defensive areas, the price on Toulouse looks too good to miss.
