There is a big week of sport ahead of us as qualification continues for the Champions League and Europa League, England face India in the first Test of a five-match series and Andy Murray makes a return to action at the Washington Open.
John Isner Washington Open outright @ 8/1
The German is gearing up for his first event since Wimbledon and Murray is making a return from a long spell out of the game due to injury, so both may be best avoided in this ATP 500 event.
Isner, the second seed, heads to the American capital on the back of a tournament win in Atlanta and the 33-year-old is one of the form players on the ATP Tour right now.
Isner already has plenty of hard-court matches under his belt after his Atlanta exploits and looks good value to claim back-to-back titles.
Sheriff Tiraspol -1 @ 9/5
Moldovan outfit Sheriff Tiraspol trail Macedonia’s Shkendija 1-0 in their Champions League qualifier but can secure progress in the home leg on Tuesday.
Sheriff lost at Torpedo Kutaisi in Georgia in the previous round before hammering them in the return fixture in more comfortable surroundings and can do the same to Shkendija.
Basel to beat PAOK @ 1/1
Most of the Champions League fun takes place on Wednesday and Basel have a bit of work to do after losing 2-1 in Greece in their first leg with PAOK.
However, the Swiss side are regulars in European tournaments and can progress to the next round with a home win over PAOK.
India to beat England @ 19/10
England lost the opening matches of their T20 and ODI series against India in the build-up to this Test series and the tourists can make it a hat-trick with victory at Edgbaston.
This looks to be a 50-50 series so at nearly 2/1 India look good value in the opener, which begins on Wednesday.
Burnley -1 @ 1/1
Burnley host Aberdeen in the second leg of their Europa League qualifier on Thursday and the Premier League club can claim a comfortable win.
The Dons looked on course to seize the advantage in the first leg but a late equaliser saw the Clarets grab a 1-1 draw and a crucial away goal. You get the feeling Aberdeen’s chance has gone, and now they have to push forward and try and get an away goal of their own Burnley could well run away with this tie.
