John Isner takes on Australian Matthew Ebden in the Atlanta Open semi-finals on Saturday evening and the top seed should be able to claim a spot in the final fairly comfortably.
Isner to win 2-0 @ 20/29
Isner has an incredible record after winning the event four times in the last five years, as well as finishing as the runner-up in 2016.
Ebden did claim a surprise 3-1 win over Isner in the first round of the Australian Open but a lot of tennis has been played since then.
Isner has since enjoyed probably his best ever season, having claimed a maiden Masters 1000 title at the Miami Open before reaching the last four of a Grand Slam for the first time at Wimbledon.
The American dropped a set in the previous round against Mischa Zverev but should be too strong for Ebden and I’m expecting him to come through 2-0.
Falkirk to beat East Fife @ 10/11
The League Cup continues in Scotland and Championship side Falkirk head to East Fife in Group B.
League One East Fife are bottom of the table after three defeats, two of which came on penalties, and this match is a dead-rubber fixture as neither side can qualify for the next round.
With nothing left to play for there may well be a pre-season friendly feel, but Falkirk should have the quality to claim the win regardless and I’m expecting the visitors to secure a consolation League Cup victory.
