Colombia impressed when brushing aside Poland 3-0 on Sunday and they can secure their place in the last 16 with a win over Senegal this afternoon.
Colombia -1 handicap @ 21/10
Jose Pekerman’s side have looked strong in Russia despite losing their opening fixture to Japan. Colombia were unlucky not to get a result despite playing almost the full match with 10 men and then went on to demolish the Poles.
Senegal have won a few fans in Russia but lack a real clinical edge in attack. The Lions of Teranga only need a draw to progress but they’re unlikely to sit back and hold on for a point and I’m expecting a fairly open game, with Colombia’s greater experience and quality eventually proving the difference.
A win for the South Americans is 4/5 but it could pay to be a bit bolder here and I’m backing Colombia with a -1 handicap in this one.
Tunisia win to zero @ 21/10
Tunisia and Panama have both been eliminated before their Group G clash this evening and these dead-rubber fixtures are always hard to predict. However, both should be looking for a win to finish their World Cup campaigns on a high and Tunisia should be able to come out on top.
The North Africans have conceded seven goals in two games but did defend well against England and slumped to a heavy defeat against Belgium when they knew they had to go for a win. Panama have looked weak in attack – despite their consolation effort against England – and the Eagles of Carthage can keep a clean sheet as well as grabbing a victory this evening.
