Alex Zverev meets Borna Coric in the Miami Open quarter-finals this evening and the world number five should be able to reach the last four although Coric could provide a real test.
Zverev overcame Nick Kyrgios in straight sets in his last match in Miami after needing three sets to get past both Daniil Medvedev and David Ferrer.
Coric has needed three sets in all three of his Miami matches so far and the 21-year-old Croatian has been in good form this year, reaching the semi finals at Indian Wells before going down 2-1 to Roger Federer.
Coric, the world number 36, has won the two previous meetings between the two, but Zverev may be able to pull one back in Miami as he looks to have hit top form after that impressive win over Kyrgios in his last match.
The German is the 20/33 favourite to come out on top but as Coric has looked strong in Miami, and took a set against Federer, this match could well go the distance and the 13/5 on offer for a 2-1 win for Zverev is my top bet in this Miami Open quarter-final clash.
I landed an NBA bet last night as Boston Celtics came in at a big price at Utah Jazz so I’m going to try and keep that run going.
Indiana Pacers are locked in for a play-off spot but can still improve their place in the standings for a better draw and should be able to secure a fairly comfortable win at Sacramento Kings later.
