Real Betis got me off to a winning start to the week and there are a few more La Liga fixtures to look at today.
Girona were written off by some before the season began but seem set to comfortably avoid relegation although they could struggle to get anything out of visitors Celta Vigo on Tuesday evening.
Both sides have been in mixed form of late, with identical records over their last five games of two wins, a draw and two defeats.
Girona have been strong at home all season and have won their last four successive games at the Municipal de Montilivi.
However, all of those wins have come against sides currently in the bottom half of the table and Celta are an excellent team on the road as they have the sixth-best away record in La Liga.
Celta have secured three wins in their last six on their travels and at 39/20 they offer good value. The Celticos were well beaten at Getafe in their last away game and prior to that lost at Alaves, where a slow start cost them.
However, the visitors head into this game on the back of a home win over Eibar while Girona were hammered 6-1 by Barcelona in their last fixture so the momentum could well be with Celta.
The 39/20 on an away win is an excellent price on its own and is my top bet for this fixture.
But if you’re feeling a little braver the 7/2 on a Celta win with both teams to score appeals as Girona have only failed to find the back of the net once in their last nine games at their Catalan home.
Celta striker Iago Aspas is in good scoring form at present, with five goals in his last six appearances, and the 13/10 on an anytime goal from him also looks a good option.
