Eintracht Frankfurt host RB Leipzig in a fascinating match-up in the Bundesliga this evening between two sides pushing for Champions League qualification.
Leipzig are currently fourth in the standings and a win would see them move into second spot, while Frankfurt are sixth and would leapfrog their opponents and move into third if they claim all three points.
Frankfurt’s overall home record isn’t particularly encouraging as they have just four wins in 11 Bundesliga outings so far but since mid-December they have found some form and are unbeaten in six at the Commerzbank-Arena.
Leipzig have won their last two on the road, having picked up impressive wins at Borussia Monchengladbach and Napoli in the Europa League, but they do have the second leg of their European clash to come and that may prove to be a distraction.
There isn’t a great deal to choose between the two sides but as Frankfurt only have the Bundesliga to focus on and they’ve picked up at home over the last few months I’m leaning towards the hosts in this match up.
Eintracht are 33/20 to win the match but the 23/10 on Frankfurt to be ahead at half-time is my top bet in this Bundesliga clash, as they’ve been leading at the break in their previous five consecutive home games.
