Daily Tips – Atalanta can frustrate Juve

Atalanta host Juventus in the Coppa Italia semi-finals this evening and it could be a difficult night for the Italian champions.

Both sides have other, and bigger, battles to think about as Juve fight to retain their Serie A crown and continue their Champions League bid. Atalanta are involved in the Europa League and have some ground to recover in the tussle for the European spots in the league.

I’m still expecting both managers to put out their strongest starting XIs though, and on their day Atalanta can cause anyone problems.

The Bianconeri have been in awesome form and boast eight successive wins ahead of tonight’s match-up in Bergamo.

However, the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia has been a tough hunting ground for Juve and they have drawn both of their most recent visits to Atalanta.

Another draw could be on the cards this evening and the draw with goals at 7/2 is my top bet for this encounter.

La Dea have only failed to score once in their last 13 games in all competitions and they should be able to find a way through the Juve defence in this last four Coppa Italia first leg encounter, with Alejandro Gomez a good anytime scorer candidate at 2/1 after he was rested for the win at Sassuolo over the weekend.

Both of my NBA bets landed last night so I’ll finish with a quick look at tonight’s action and Oklahoma City Thunder look a strong option at 10/11 to win at Washington Wizards with a -3 handicap in the point spread.

The Wizards remain without star man John Wall and OKC have been on fire of late as they boast an eight-game winning streak ahead of their trip to the Capital One Arena.
