Daily Tips – Roma can end winless run

Roma conceded a late equaliser at Inter Milan over the weekend as they failed to end their winless run although they may well be able to halt their slide at Sampdoria in Serie A today.

The Giallorossi are now winless in five but were arguably unlucky not to claim the win at Inter after conceding a late equaliser. Roma weathered the storm well but couldn’t find a second goal that would have put the game to bed which ultimately cost them.

Samp have been strong at home all season but they have lost two of their last four at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris so there are signs Roma can come away with all three point.

Overall, Samp have just two wins in their last eight and they’ve been beaten five times during that run as their own bid for Champions League football has faltered.

Roma are 1/1 to claim the victory but as clean sheets have been an issue for both sides of late, the 47/20 on an away win with both teams to score looks a stronger option and is my top bet.

In the Australian Open, Britain’s Kyle Edmund has defied expectations by reaching the semi-finals and he faces a stern test against Marin Cilic in the last four.

Cilic is deservedly the 4/13 favourite but Edmund’s run has been incredible and at 51/20 he could well be worth the risk given his performances Down Under.

In the women’s tournament, Angelique Kerber looks a good bet at 4/5 to continue her dominance over world number one Simona Halep.

Kerber has won three of the last four meetings between the two and has already tasted success in Melbourne, taking the top prize in 2016, while Halep remains without a Grand Slam crown.
