Manchester United look on course to reach the Europa League final on Thursday but will need to be on their guard against Celta Vigo.
The Red Devils, who are the 20/33 favourites to lift the trophy on May 24, won last week’s first leg in Galicia 1-0 thanks to a second-half free-kick from Marcus Rashford and will again be expecting to dominate proceedings in front of their own fans.
Celta are dangerous opponents though and their recent record against the big teams, especially Barcelona, means they will not be afraid of their task.
Jose Mourinho again heavily rotated for Sunday’s 2-0 defeat at Arsenal and is likely to revert to a team similar to the one that featured in Spain.
Celta were seen as the outsiders coming into the tie and for all their cut and thrust, fell short at the Balaidos.
Midfielder Daniel Wass was arguably their brightest player last week and is 4/1 to score at anytime.
Eduardo Berizzo also rested a number of his first team stars at the weekend and they will be fit and firing at Old Trafford, as they look to end a run of five defeats in all competitions.
They have also been in this situation before, overturning a 1-0 deficit against Shakhtar Donetsk by winning 2-0 in the Ukraine.
However, United have never lost a European tie when they have won the first leg away from home.
It looks like a home win could be on the cards and for all Celta’s hustle and bustle, their lack of firepower means a United victory to zero at 5/4 could well be the outcome.
