Burnley ended their wait for an away win last time out and they can guarantee their Premier League status for another year when they host West Brom today.
The Clarets have been excellent at Turf Moor all season but have only managed one win in their last five home games.
An FA Cup loss to non-league Lincoln stands out but aside from that they’ve taken a point from Chelsea and lost to Spurs and Manchester United, with their one success coming against mid-table Stoke, and poor results against those teams shouldn’t dissuade anyone from backing them to beat an out-of-sorts Albion.
A win for Sean Dyche‘s men would secure their top-flight status, which is something West Brom managed a while ago now. After guaranteeing survival the Baggies now appear to have one eye on the summer break as, after taking four points from games against Arsenal and Man United, they’ve lost four in a row, failing to score in every game.
Burnley are 27/20 to secure all three points or 21/10 to win to nil. The 4/1 on offer for a home win with a -1 handicap also appeals given West Brom went down 2-0 against Watford in their last away fixture.
Elsewhere, Bournemouth endured a miserable mid-season run but now appear to be racing towards the finish line in great form after back-to-back wins over strugglers Middlesbrough and Sunderland. The Cherries have won four of their last nine, with just two losses, and should be able to overcome a visiting Stoke outfit that has picked up just four points from the last 30 available on their travels.
Like West Brom, goals have been a problem for the Potters of late and away from home they’ve not scored for six consecutive Premier League games. Bournemouth are 6/5 to win the match, and a double on straightforward home wins for the Cherries and Clarets is my top bet for today at 5.17 (between 4/1 and 9/2).
