Daily Tips – Gladbach can repeat Schalke success

Borussia Monchengladbach overcame Schalke in the Bundesliga at the weekend and they can claim another win when the two sides face off in the Europa League this evening.

After Dortmund beat the handicap last night in their thrashing of Benfica I’m three from three so far this week and the away side can make it four in a row with a win at a big price this evening as they look to continue their Europa League push.

Gladbach have hit some form of late and they head to the Veltins Arena seeking a fifth successive victory in all competitions.

In contrast Schalke are struggling, the Royal Blues are without a win in their last five games and have lost the last two, including their 4-2 defeat to this evening’s visitors last time out.

The hosts have managed just two wins in their last five home games and those victories came against relegation threatened Ingolstadt and Hertha Berlin, who have one of the worst away records in the Bundesliga despite the fact they’re involved in the fight for Champions League qualification.

Gladbach have won all of their six previous away games, including an impressive comeback win at Fiorentina in this competition, and at 9/4 are a great price to down Schalke on Thursday.

However, I think we can do a little better here and the 19/4 on a Monchengladbach win with both teams to score is my top bet for this match-up. Schalke may be out-of-sorts but they have only failed to score in two of their last 10 games, and the visitors have only managed one clean sheet in their last five games so we should see a few goals in this all-German Europa League tie.
