Gareth Southgate kicked off his interim spell as England boss with a 2-0 win over Malta and he should be able to make it two from two in Slovenia later today.
The hosts have made a good start to their own World Cup qualification bid, with four points from two games, and they picked up an important win over Slovakia in their last home assignment.
Wayne Rooney is set to be dropped to the bench for this clash and that could allow Dele Alli more opportunities to get forward. The Spurs man managed a goal against Malta and is good value to find the net anytime against Slovenia at 27/10.
Alli saw a few chances come his way against Malta and on another day may have scored more, so the 22/1 about the attacking midfielder to score two or more also appeals.
Slovenia generally put the focus on defence and only one of their last 10 games has yielded more than one goal.
However, England ran out 3-2 winners when the two sides met in a Euro 2016 qualifier last year and we may see a few more goals this evening than the majority of Slovenia’s recent matches have provided.
Alli could be the key to England’s attacking success in the number 10 role and the 27/10 on him to score at anytime is my top bet for this clash.
