Manchester United may have ended their losing streak with an EFL Cup win over Northampton in midweek but in truth that victory does little to paper over the cracks at Old Trafford.
United host champions Leicester City at the weekend and the pressure is on manager Jose Mourinho to deliver, otherwise he could find himself firmly in the middle of a full-blown crisis.
The Foxes were hauled into extra-time in their own midweek cup outing before losing out to Chelsea but boss Claudio Ranieri did make a number of changes, and key men Riyad Mahrez (who remained on the bench against the Blues) and Jamie Vardy should be fairly fresh for the trip to the north west.
This looks to me like almost a 50-50 fixture given the circumstances but the odds don’t reflect that so I’m going to side with the visitors.
However, after a good week I’m going to try and get the weekend off to the perfect start with a big price and go for a Leicester win with both teams to score at 31/4.
United may be struggling but they usually manage a goal and the visitors have scored at least two in each of their last three games.
Meanwhile, in-form Borussia Dortmund are in action against Freiburg on Friday evening and I’m expecting another big BVB win, find out why here.
