Everton head to Sunderland in the Monday night fixture and the Goodison club can continue their fine start to the season with another win.
The visitors have seven points from three games to date and they could move level with second placed Chelsea if they secure another win on Monday.
It has been a much tougher start for the Black Cats under David Moyes with just one point to show for their efforts so far. It could well be another season of struggle on Wearside and a visit from an in-form Everton outfit is probably the last thing they need as they bid to build some confidence and momentum.
An Everton win at 23/20 is my top bet for this fixture and the 8/1 for a 2-1 win for the away side also appeals. Sunderland have at least scored in all of their Premier League matches so far and Everton’s defence isn’t watertight just yet, although their new manager Ronald Koeman will have been working on his back line over the international break.
There is also a Serie A game this evening as Empoli host Crotone in what looks like a home banker. Both sides remain pointless after two games but Crotone’s losses to Bologna and Genoa are perhaps the more concerning. Empoli were a strong team on home soil last season and they can get their first points on the board with a win at 20/33 later today.
