Norwich, Northampton and Birmingham all feature in our weekend accumulator as we look for a timely payout the day after Friday the 13th!
If you’re struggling for sides to pile onto yours, follow our tips.
The Gunners recorded a momentum-boosting win over Man United in midweek and should be set to do the business against a West Ham side in no sort of form. It is seven without a win for Big Sam’s side, who are without strikers Andy Carroll and Enner Valencia, and are unlikely to end that streak at the Emirates.
Huddersfield visit St Andrews not long after Birmingham’s miraculous comeback against Derby last week. The Blues scored twice in the dying minutes to salvage a draw that should maintain the feel-good factor under Gary Rowett. That result kept Birmingham unbeaten in their last three, and Huddersfield travel on the back of three straight defeats themselves, enough to earn a spot on our coupon.
Millwall, without Ian Holloway, could put on an inspired performance, as is the norm when a manager departs, but we’re confident they’ll be turned over again by Bolton. Neil Lennon has done positive things at the club and should have improved enough to see off the challenge of a side deservedly in the relegation zone.
This is a bold one as Norwich take on promotion rivals Derby, but one we believe will pay off. Norwich’s recent rise has been impressive, forcing themselves well into the promotion picture with wins coming with plenty of goals. The Canaries have won seven of their last eight games whereas Derby have just two in seven. Goals have dried up for the Rams too with both Fulham and Brighton keeping clean sheets against them. A trip to Carrow Road looks daunting for Steve McClaren’s men.
Northampton have been resurgent in recent weeks whereas Tranmere have dropped into the relegation zone again. Just two defeats in 10 have seen the Cobblers climb to within a sniff of the play-offs, and their home form has been a major factor behind that rise. Tranmere will battle but ultimately come up short against League Two’s form side.
Stocking our accie up to receive greater odds are Bournemouth who face no-hopers Blackpool (backing over 4.5 goals looks like a clear winner!), Preston against Crewe, Man City away to Burnley, Hearts versus Dumbarton, and Albion of League Two in Scotland, up against bottom side Montrose.
